Pricing, Payment, Delivery & Returns

Our Guarantee

Everything we sell carries a no-quibble guarantee. In the unlikely event you are unhappy in any way with any product or service, please contact us on 07412 675534 in the first instance and we will endeavour to put things right.


All prices are shown in £ sterling (GBP). We only take payment in £ (GBP) and any costs of converting other currencies to £ (GBP) are to be paid by the buyer. Under current law we do not add VAT to pricing but shipping and insurance costs will be added. For overseas shipments, any customs or other local taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

Stock Availability

Stock is subject to availability. By its very nature, rare and out of print items are generally only held as single items. Our site is live and updates stock availability as items are added and sold. Orders are filled on a first come first served basis.


Payment please by PayPal within 3 working days of placing an order. PayPal enables payment on-line by major Debit and Credit cards, as well as by PayPal itself. We combine postage and packing (shipping) charges to customer for multiple items in the same package to save them money as long as the customer advises us to combine items for dispatch before the first item ordered has been sent out.

Payment can also be made by sending a cheque, Postal Order or Bank Transfer by prior arrangement. Please email us at malcoholm@aol.com to set up this arrangement. Payments must clear before orders are dispatched, including all applicable shipping costs and insurance.

Vinyl Value Records keeps items reserved for up to fourteen days, after which time the order is cancelled if no firm order or payment has been received.

Our Delivery Aims

All orders are despatched within 2 business days from receiving cleared payment for the order, using the method the customer has selected. We will email to confirm despatch and provide a tracking number only if you have selected to pay for a tracking service. Delivery times vary from destination to destination; contact us if you need specific information.

Your Right to Cancel Your Order

You can cancel your order within seven days from the time payment is completed. You must write, or email and obtain confirmation that your order has been cancelled. If the order has already been despatched, then we will advise how you may return it to us or read about ‘Returning an Item’.

Goods not received

Vinyl Value Records retains proof of posting for any items purchased. Orders sent by standard untracked/unconfirmed mail are insured up to a value of £20. Orders above £20 are sent by confirmed mail/tracked mail, which insures the parcel up to £50. Separate insurance is required for orders over £50 value. Confirmed/tracked mail and insurance will be charged and paid for by the buyer. Without this, Vinyl Value Records will not bear the cost of loss or damage to the contents of any package in transit above £20, including shipping costs, however caused.

To say this another way, if the customer pays for the correct level of tracking and insurance, Vinyl Value Records can claim back the value of any goods lost, up to the amount for which they are insured, and thus credit the customer this amount for lost items. Under any other circumstances (i.e. orders sent using standard untracked post), losses or damage in the post are beyond the control of Vinyl Value Records and credit cannot be offered beyond the level insured.

Unless UK next day delivery is chosen, we will ask you to wait a reasonable amount of time for your parcel to arrive. This will vary depending on your destination but typically Royal Mail requires that 28 days be allowed for delivery. It is very rare in our experience that items go missing entirely, but occasionally they are delayed by a few days. If your order has not arrived after 28 days we will discuss a replacement, store credit or refund with you and arrange this without further delay.

Returns Policy

Goods with which customers are not satisfied can be returned up to 28 days after purchase, for an exchange, or for a full or part-refund by arrangement.

Returning an Item

If you need to return an item to us, you should contact us for a returns authorisation. We will advise how best to return it. Returns will only be accepted if received within 28 days from the date of delivery. You must take reasonable care to ensure that an item is repackaged so that it arrives back in the same condition it was despatched. We cannot take responsibility for damage to insufficiently repackaged items, or items that have been used or badly handled before being returned. Where an item is returned, unless the item is agreed to be defective between the buyer and Vinyl Value Records, Vinyl Value will reimburse the buyer only the value of the contents, not the outward or return postage costs. We may only refund postage, when approved, for the use of standard mail services. Your parcel must be accompanied by a copy of our returns authorisation email, your invoice or a covering letter containing your order information. Returns should be made only to the address shown on your invoice.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Any contracts entered into between Vinyl Value Records and the Customer for the sale of products and services will be governed by UK law.  Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
